Ping Google

Did you know that your WordPress site doesn’t tell google when you made a change and google has absolutely no idea about what has changed unless you let them know periodically.

Typically you will need tell googlebot about your sitemap.xml changing and google will look for time stamp changes and then crawl the page if it finds changes. So enabling Dev.Land give you this feature with our tier2 plans. I can tell you over and over how long we wait to see changes reflected on a daily basis.

We use the local sitemap.xml which is built into WordPress 5.0+ I believe as that will allow google to look for your sitemap changes without the need to install anything else as its built into WordPress builds and if you are using a custom sitemap.xml tool typically it will replace that location with a new file in the same location.
